Kickstarter sent me an email letting me know that it was one year ago today that Unreal Estate funded.
So much has happened since funding, and coincidentally today is the day I leave to attend Essen, another noteworthy benchmark in Guild history.
It seemed a great time then to say “Thank you.” to all of you who jumped aboard this crazy dream.
So, I’ll see you soon: at Essen, at PAX Unplugged, or perhaps around a gaming table someplace else.

Citizens of Guildmore! I hope you don't mind me sharing some company news, not specific to our beloved game. (If you are a subscriber to our e-mail newsletter you can hit delete.) We had some big things take place at Gen Con, so here goes:
The 'Sobel' prize
And the winner is...Grand Gamers Guild! We've been talking about Endangered (our upcoming cooperative dice placement game in which you'll be saving endangered species from extinction) for a while, and are THRILLED to let you know that we'll be working with Beth Sobel for the art!
Stop and read that again, we'll wait...
Yes, you read that right: Beth Sobel will be our artist for Endangered. Beth is known for her work on Herbaceous, World's Fair 1893, and Viticulture. We'd like to thank the Academy and our mom, and we can't wait to show you what she has in store!

It takes a village
It takes a village to raise a board game, and it takes a special group of villagers to nurture the electronic side of things. The Steam and Android versions of Unreal Estate have been live for a few weeks, but we are excited to announce that it is now available on iOS!
I've been in the board game space for over a decade, but apps are definitely a new frontier for me. We've done very well with all of our physical games, but we realize that getting noticed in the digital space is key for the long term.
In order to promote the app, we've decided to make a special deal: if you download the app from the Apple Store, Google Play, or Steam and show it to us on your device at Gen Con, we'll give you $3 off the purchase of the physical game. That's pretty much getting the app for FREE!
Even if you can't make Gen Con, it's still a great game at a great price. Please help us spread the word to the app-lovers in your life.

We are so excited to get Unreal Estate into your hands and for you to play. The last 3 days have been a non-stop assembly line, but I enjoyed every minute of it. We know that there will be small hiccups and fulfillment fires to extinguish, but we are ready for those.
Plant a seed
Throughout our campaign, we have turned you on to projects--gaming and otherwise--that have resonated with us. Today we'd like to turn you on to Groves by Dan Letzring.

Making an Impact
We made quite an impact at Origins this past week--in fact we sold out all of the stock we brought--and we need to get our little gem of a game on as many radars as possible to keep that going.
