Good morning backers. We're heading into the final turn of our race, and the finish line is in sight. Just over 2 days to go and we have achieved amazing things. Yesterday and into today, we blew away the $20K stretch goal and Ogre Tent is in the game! And we are almost half way to $22K.

The 48-hour alarm is going to ring very soon for all of those on the fence backers, and they're going to check out our campaign once again. Imagine what it could be like if they look and see that we're past $22K and on our way to $26K. Keep on pushing: friends, coworkers, heck...call up Grandma and tell her how badly you want to play Unreal Estate with her. Grandma loves to buy you stuff, right?

We've made big strides towards our social goals as well in the past 24 hours. Far and away Facebook is the closest. Just 27 more Likes (as of this writing) and the hardcover book will be a reality. (You can Like us NOW, right here, you are just 2 clicks away!)

Good afternoon backers. We have 4 days left on this shared adventure, and the good stuff just keeps on coming. Without further ado...

Timing is everything

Last night I hit the button to go live on my backer update, and merely minutes later Corinne e-mailed the finished watercolors for the Holy Sanctuary 5-player expansion. I almost sent out another backer update then and there, but I'm glad I didn't, because I've a few great things to share. But here, in all its watercolor glory, is the Holy Sanctuary!

Construction Entrance: Hard Hat Required

Gothic Estate is under construction, and whether it's in the box at $26K or we produce it for later sale, we want to bring to life the game that you want. Click here to tell us which versions of Druid Circle and Haunted Caravan you want to be in the game. We'll announce the results near the end of the campaign, and we'll show the finished watercolors as soon as Corinne delivers them into our hands.

You have asked and we have been working very hard to pull this off. We have come to a deal with Happyshops and are ridiculously excited to announce that we have EU Friendly shipping. If you live in the EU, this is your moment! No VAT. We are also working on a German edition, as well as French and Italian translations of the rules. Let your EU friends know!

Course corrections and a light at the end of the tunnel

Good evening backers! I had every hope of posting an update this morning, but the day was super busy, and I just got back to Grand Rapids from Chicago. So where are we then?

We are just 5 days away from the grand finale of our first Kickstarter campaign. To wrap this up in the best way possible for you and us, we decided to change some things and lay everything out for you to see, all cards on the table, so to speak. This way, as you stoke the fires of your friends, as that 48-hour reminder bell rings for all of those on the fence, everyone can see exactly what we are aiming for.

5 Players

For those who took a look at our updated graphic yesterday, you'll notice that we added a stretch goal at $28K: the Sanctuary 5th player expansion. "What?!?" you say. "Now I can play with 5?" Yes, sirs and madams, now you can play with 5. We'd been prepared to announce this as the $30K stretch goal, but we took a look at the numbers and figured out we could pull it off at a lower funding level. So now not only can you get excited about Gothic Estate, but you can also look forward to a 5th player.

Now it's time to go through my notes from the meeting with KrakenPrint, because I think we're going to have some really cool news about our art book. More tomorrow...!

Witch's Hut & Fairy House

Witch's Hut and Fairy House are live! (Graphic update soon.) Fun stuff. We hit our next goal at $20K. I've talked to Mr. Ogre, and he's pretty excited about his tent getting into the game, so let's make that happen. And when we do we'll reveal another stretch goal. This one's a doozy, and we know you'll like it too.

The Art of Unreal Estate

I'm actually in Chicago this weekend. "Why would a project creator leave town in the last week of his campaigin?!?" you ask. Well I'm here in part to visit KrakenPrint, who will be producing our art book. I met them through my friends at Source Point Press, who have been working with them for a long time. I'm very excited to see their offices, and review our options for providing the highest quality book we can get to you.

Attack!

Before I sign off today, I want to turn the spotlight onto another project: Problem Picnic: Attack of the Ants. I've known designer Scott Almes for a while, and it's been fantastic to watch his star rise in our community. I met Josh and Helaina just this year, and I am honored to call them friends, a word I don't use lightly. Much like Unreal Estate, PP is a project that will not come to fruition without your support. You could not ask for a team that pours more passion into their game and the industry than this one. Kids Table Board Gaming is a company on a mission to unite gamers of all ages around the table for a good time, and I urge you to back their project.

Yesterday, today, tomorrow

Yesterday was a fantastic day on the campaign trail. Thank you to all of our new backers, and everyone who was spreading the word to make it happen. We are still working hard to find more backers. There are blog posts, podcasts, and videos yet to come. Keep it up!

The Art of Unreal Estate

I want to take a moment and highlight our art book. We know that the bulk of our backers are gamers, and we promise to deliver a sweet little game. But in many cases it was Corinne's artwork that first caught your attention.

The book we are putting together will feature not only Corinne's watercolors before they were turned into cards, but also the original pencil sketches we got to choose from. Most pieces actually had 2 options, so you'll get to see the one we chose and the alternative. For example:

The books will be on a separate production track from the game, so there is a very good chance you will get your taste of Guildmore much earlier in book form than in game form. If you've not backed the book consider adding it to your pledge, maybe for yourself, maybe as a gift for your art-loving friend.
